I have not had the opportunity to try out the process in the book, but it looks like it will be easy enough to do. This is a fairly in depth look at bartering. It details how to use options to control others’ property so that it can be used to barter with others. The focus of the book is how to solve problems by bartering. You want to take something someone doesn’t need and turn into something they do. Sounds simple enough, right?! It also tells how to use scrip (esentially complicated gift certificates) to expand any existing business that you might have. You profit from the excess. Also, you may profit by changing the “hardness” of your investment. Like trading $100,000 worth of car tires for a $100,000 house. The hardness scale, and how it might change, is explained in the book.

The book is not for everyone. It appears that you have to be somewhat of a people person to apply this information. Not that it would be bad for anyone to know, just not too useful if you are very shy.

My only complaint about the book is the illustrations. They are a bit small to see very well. Other than that, I believe it is worth the price. (And I shop on Amazon so I usually don’t pay full price.)

I would also like to thank George Ure, of peoplenomics.com and urbansurvival.com, for mentioning this fine book so that I could find it.
